What to expect from your DJ company

Your DJ plays an integral part of your special event.  An experienced DJ plays several roles before and leading up to your event to ensure that it will be a success.

Your DJ will be responsible for assembling a sound system on site, conduct checks of the area and ensure everything is working proficiently so that the sound is crisp and clear prior to any guest arrival.

Your DJ will be responsible and prepared for making all necessary announcements and coordination of traditional aspects throughout your venue time so that vendors are sync.  A great example is when working with Photographers and keeping them abreast of these intervals, so that they can capture these moments in time rather then missing out on those meaningful photos.  Your DJ can also pose as your emcee ensuring that your reception highlights are fulfilled and guests are engaged.  Your DJ should encourage an active dance floor without having to be obnoxious or too overwhelming.  They will remember that the affair is not about them but about you, your family and friends while respecting your preferred choice of music creating an enjoyable time had by all in attendance.

A full-service Disc Jockey company will normally invest 12-30 hours to your special day although it may appear that you are only paying for “4 hours”. Consultations, music programming & editing, preparation, set-up and tear down, education and other business related endeavors all add up to the overall success of your special occasion. Remember an event lasts a day, memories last forever.
